…so this is the new year

…So here we are in the top of a new hill. It’s true than past year was difficult to many people with that nasty influenza virus and all the economical stuff but… well its just another walk around our precious sun. Did you enjoy it?

In Mexico we usually burn out some natural size dolls than we call “the old year”. It supposedly symbolize the burning of the bad stuff and a new beginning. Maybe we forgot that meaning. It doesn’t care if this year was a kick in the ass or not. Personally I think than with every year concludes a cycle in my life, so I gather all the good and bad things to analyze it. I think than we also forgot to learn of these stuff and I try to do it. Specially the bad stuff. That shit moments challenge and motivate us to realize how strong we really are. We turn out into better people. And in addition to good times it conforms the human being we are. Also I don’t try to have many purposes ’cause  it’s difficult to achieve it. So I try to analyze my goals and choose the most important. And it has been good ’cause I reach those goals. So this night if you burn out “Old year dolls” well… think about the bad things and forget it. Burn it. And carve in your mind the good stuff. To fight isn’t easy but its worth.. Everything happens for a good reason.That’s it. My grandfather passed away and one of the things I remember is a phrase. He used to walk slowly and carrying the cane. He used to say “the cane is on my mind and i can walk”. It’s true guys. The canes are in our minds and we can walk by ourselves.

So tonight take those twelve grapefruits and that wine cup as you think new ways to complete your goals and to reach happiness.  Take a deep swallow of wine and think than life rules. We rules. Lets begin with a new face just the way we are but trying to improve ourselves… to take all happiness and sadness moments than conform us…

so this is the new year!!

In sunlight …

Well that’s it. Winter is back and brings special days to this land. As you can see it has been nearly a month without an update so lets do it.  So I’m back in hometown for somedays to visit my family and some old friends. Its a great time to “recharge” the batteries.

In other terms there are things than I’ve been thinking lately . Specially in these days I can’t understand many attitudes from other people. I don’t want to talk about it deeply because I’ve decided to take all those things and change it into positive thoughts. I’ve decided than over all the things I like the life than I chose for me. Than there are good and bad people in the way but I can learn something from everyone and take good care of me. Than my attitude is more important than my fears and than there are no more limits than those inside of my mind. There are many things than I can’t understand now but I know than I’ll understand it later. . .even many people attitudes as I said. I understood than it’s better to show the real ourselves than a life which is not ours. I understood than I am special unique and unrepeatable. . . and I chose that. So actually I can really enjoy the softness of the first sunlights over my face and the first hours in the morning. I can enjoy a simple walk and a simple breath. I like my city and I like my job. I enjoy to complete every single point in my schedule. I like the food and the very ending of the day. I enjoy my life. As every year when many people makes different purposes I just have one. To improve myself. To stop the worries and start the strategies. To face the fears. To be myself…

Well everything happens for a reason. Everyone of this moments leads up to the people we are…                                           and I love who I am…

Pues mi amiga Ingrid se casa en unos días y lamentablemente no podré asistir. San Luis me dejó algo pobre este mes jeje. Da un tanto de coraje porque tuvo que salir todo de mi bolsa porque acá en el centro no me darán reembolso. Como sea, le deseamos muchos años de felicidad a ella y a José. Y claro, que la noche sea super especial, inolvidable y divertida. A donde viviran? A donde se iran de luna de miel? jaja chisme chisme. Debo INSISTIR que en el pasado evento bodístico llevado a cabo en la hacienda Petcanché, el ramo de la novia fue TELEDIRIGIDO con previa alevosía, ventaja y planeación a las manos de Ingrid. Ahora no pueden negarlo. Por otra parte quisiera recordar que otro gran evento bodístico este año lo tuvimos gracias a Irasema y Alan. Ahi si fui. Fotitos en FLICKR

Recuerden que pueden llevar una foto mia al evento  jaja. Asi alguien puede sostenerla y saldré en las fotos. La otra opción es que me envien una foto y pues PHOTOSHOP hace maravillas jaja. Por cierto aún espero las fotos de la boda de Irasema.
Como sea, creo que lo que más extrañare es verlos reunidos. Pero ya les daré un abrazo en Diciembre. Pasensela padrísimo, echense un brindis a la salud de todos y MUCHISIMAS FELICIDADES!!!

At San Luis Potosí!!

So, as I previously said I was being in San Luis Potosi this week. I was attending to a PROTEOMICS meeting, which was very productive for me. New people. As I stayed in a hotel of the downtown, it was obvious to visit downtown. I must accept than I was sceptic about the beauty of the city. I thought that it was a boring city or at least not an interesting city. How wrong I was.
The downtown is divided into many little gardens and squares. First one was “fundadores”. Some blocks and you’ll be in the Main square. Man, It’s beautiful. The constructions in this city were made with a special stone called “cantera” which is pink, beauty, nice and very ornamental. A picture of the main square

So there is also the beautiful Carmen and Vicente Guerrero gardens, which has very beauty churches. I don´t want to told you about story but, its nice. Some blocks away, you’ll also find the FERROCARIL MUSEUM (for trains jeje). As SLP was mainly a miners city, trains were very important for improving the city. So in this museum you can find lots of information about that. Also, the mountains surrounding the city has rivers. Those rivers were canalized into the city by means of pipes and, the water was locked into CAJAS DE AGUA (“water boxes”). The one in the picture is one of the principal symbols of the city. Ancient inhabitants walked to these boxes in search for water. As usual more pics at my FLICKR site.

So, sadly, I couldn´t go to Real de Catorce. But that visit has been scheduled. Talking about food, its great. I recommend the “Enchiladas Potosinas” which are a kind of tacos with potatoes, carrots and herbs. Yummy.
But the best of all is the candy. Wow, yummy, amazing. I bring many candy boxes to Mexico. Jeje. Last night i was in a “callejoneada” which is a kind of night-walk around downtown. This walk is typically made with an “Estudiantina” which is a typical musical group from these colonial cities. They sang funny songs about, well, wine among other stuff jaja. Its cool to be drunk jaja. Sadly no pictures or video ’cause I missed the camera at the hotel. So finally I returned to DF. Sad. But I’ll be back soon SLP : )

The Day of the Dead (Dia de los muertos)

Last week, there was a very special celebration in many parts of the world. For this celebration, there are many variants around the world as halloween, or the Day of the Dead. On that day, Angel (one of my best friends) and I, went around the downtown. There was a very particular parade. A “monumental alebrijes” parade. The “alebrijes” are a kind of imaginary colorful monsters, which are represented in a tipical mexican handcraft. Those handcrafts are made with glued paper or wood. After that, we walk towards a graveyard in the downtown. The San Fernando’s graveyard is very special ’cause there are the graves of many heroes of the Mexico history. For example there is buried Benito Juarez, Vicente Guerrero among others. There was a very interesting performance in the graveyard, in which many different characters were walking and crying around the graves. More pics in FLICKR

 

 

 

So that was for past weekend. This was a very difficult week for me, for many different reasons but I survived jeje. Anyway, today we’ll be on the MONSTER JAM show, where I’ll try to take some pics. For next week I’ll be on San Luis Potosi for a meeting. I’ll try to post from there. Greetings!!

Hello world!

So let’s get started. This is, as I previously said, en exercise for me. These days are many changes in my life particularly ‘bout interests. I won’t introduce myself as you already know my generals, so, In this posts I’ll try to show you my actual life. This is because many of you had argued me ‘bout my inconstant mails so I thought, -well let’s get them with the last topics ‘bout myself. Anyway I’ll be always expecting for news about everybody. Then this will be the first annoying post. So, let’s have some fun.
